This is a multiple memorial for pets Ive had thru the years, who all have touched me in one way or another. Sadly, for these, I have no photos.
01- Sonny ~ Hamster, 1972-1974 ~ My 2nd grade teacher gave away her two hamsters "Sonny & Cher" to two students at the end of the school year. I got Sonny. We (my family) enjoyed Sonny. He used to have this fantastic tunneled cage, and was often played with. He died when one of my babysitters gave him beer.
02- Tom - Yellow Tabby, 1970-1975
03- Lucky ~ AKC Black Laborador, 1983-1997. She birthed one litter of puppies. Cousin to my "Dutches". We affectionately called her "Lucky Ducky". She loved raw potatoes as a snack.
04- Black Jack ~ AKC Black Laborador. Fully trained. Given to a hunter friend of my father's. He took him hunting in the swampland area of Florida. Jack met up with an aligator. That's haunted me for a long time. Sweet dog.
05- Topper ~ AKC Laborador. Died about 9 months of age. Not sure why.
06- Lucky ~ Lab Mix. 1991-1992. Found her wandering around in a parking lot, paws raw and bleeding. Took her in, doctored her up. She was one really friendly playful dog. Loved to play with my son. Had to give her away as we were only allowed one pet at the time.
07- Corkys Run of Luck Chelsie ~ AKC Yellow Laborador. 1988- ?. Had to give her away when we moved. Beautiful gentle dog.
08- Peaches ~ My first bird, a cockatiel.
09- Cuddles ~ Peaches' sweetie. Smart bird, could answer when whistled to. Cockatiel
10- Stormy ~ Cuddles was his father, would mimic my cell phone. Never knew if it was the phone or the bird, LOL. Very friendly and sociable. Could say "Pretty Bird". Cockatiel
11-14 Thunder, Cloudy, Squirt, Cinna-Minnie, cockatiels.
15- Stormy, grey tabby. 2003-? Just went out the door and didn't come back one day in mid 2008. Went to Germany and back to States with us.
---------------------
They all touched us in one way or another. They may be gone, but none of them are forgotten.
Feel free to add a tribute to yours, on this page, that are also "Gone, But Not Forgotten".
I know what you're thinking. You think I'm dead. Because you cannot see me with your human eye, cannot feel me with your hands or hold me in your arms, you think I am gone forever.
You recall how I looked when I left this place, and you cannot remotely imagine that I could possibly be alive in another place. You are racked and torn by the pain of our separation and it blinds you to that which is right in front of you... me..............
I'm here to tell you different. You were worthy of my love and undying devotion on earth as I of yours. Do you really believe this love would be snatched from us forever by a loving Creator simply because I wasn't human? Was I not a living, breathing creation with personality? How could I have been so if I didn't possess the energy of soul, spirit and loving light? And if this energy is and always will be, then how can it be that I am dead?
.................
You say that all you have left are memories. Not so. You see, when I took leave of my earthly body I left a little something behind for you. You can't touch it, hold it or examine it for what I left behind is far too uninhibited for confinement. I left behind a piece of my soul. I placed it right next to your own which is quite fitting as we were always side by side in our earthly life together. I love you too much to have left you with nothing but memories, which tend to fade and grow cloudy as the years go by.
I love you too much to have vanished without a trace. How selfish it would be of me to remove love and light from your life.
.............
I understand your tears, each one you shed is testament to your love for me and I am honored and humbled. But don't forget the good things we shared - remember and smile. This is an honor for me as well. And when you need me I will be here. Close your eyes, relax, take slow, deep breaths and picture me in your mind. Shut off the world and your notions of what death is and give me a chance. Look for the subtle signs I send you. Don't stop being proud of me, I am a friend to be proud of, I am still your friend and soul mate.
Don't memorialize the death of my body but instead honor and celebrate my never-ending life for it is eternal and forever as is my love for you.

FOR ALL YOUR PETS
A Bridge Called Love
It takes us back to brighter years,
to happier sunlit days
and to precious moments
that will be with us always.
And these fond recollections
are treasured in the heart
to bring us always close to those
from whom we had to part.
There is a bridge of memories
from earth to Heaven above...
It keeps our dear ones near us
It's the bridge that we call love
